The Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical “Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” got off to a strong start and a standing ovation at the Smith Center on Tuesday night, with husband-and-wife “American Idol” finalists Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo shining in the lead roles.

It’s Pharaoh at his finest!

The 20-strong ensemble cast of singers and dancers dazzle from delicate Egyptian goddesses to leggy, hip-hop creatures from the pyramids.

Congrats to music director Wayne Green for the ever-building, rip-along numbers; lighting director Howell Binkley, who conjures up moods of biblical proportions; and Andy Blankenbuehler for his choreography and directing duties.
